Myth: I need alcohol to relax

In actuality, drinking even one glass of wine spikes your adrenaline and cortisol as the body fights to regain equilibrium. A substance that floods your system with the stress-hormone is not helping you unwind!

Myth: Alcohol is essential for having fun

If alcohol was necessary for you to have fun, then it would be impossible to have fun without it. You can remember times in your life where you were having fun and there was no booze.

Myth: I need alcohol to socialize

Imagine not needing to outsource your confidence to a substance that can only slow your thinking, slur your words, and turn your protective social inhibitions to dust.

Myth: I'll be missing out if I slow or stop my drinking

Once you learn to see alcohol for what it truly is and free yourself from the Alcohol Myth, you will not feel like you are missing out because you won't desire it the same way. Without desire, there is no suffering.
